Taxi Perth: Web Design and SEO

Project Overview

Taxi Perth is an independent Perth taxi service offering airport transfers, FIFO runs, maxi taxis and suburb trips around the clock. We replaced its old page builder website with a custom WordPress theme built around fixed fares. The new site has been live since 27 June 2026, with the old site kept on a separate address hidden from search.

The client wanted a simple, fast site where passengers see the price and book in one visit, without an app or surge pricing.

The Challenge

A heavy page builder theme

The old site ran on a page builder theme that was heavy to load and slow to change. Every update meant working around the builder rather than the content.

A crowded local market

Our research found that the largest Perth taxi sites relied on hundreds of short pages of 150 to 200 words each, while the stronger competitors had fewer, deeper pages with fare tables and FAQs. Quality, not volume, was the way to compete.

Price as the main question

Passengers want to know the fare before they commit. Most local competitors said little about pricing, so clear fixed fares were a chance to stand out.

What We Did

A custom theme with no page builder

We built a custom WordPress theme from scratch. The homepage leads with a booking form that takes the pickup, drop off, terminal and flight number, vehicle, payment method and child seat needs. Bookings are confirmed by phone within 15 minutes. See our web design and development service.

Fixed fares and service pages

• A fare estimator and fixed fares shown before the passenger confirms.
• Pages for airport transfers, FIFO, corporate, hotel, maxi taxi, wedding and city to city trips.
• Four vehicle types, from a sedan to a maxi van for up to 13 passengers.
• Cash, card, EFTPOS and Cabcharge accepted.

A clean move to the new site

We moved the new build onto the live domain, placed the old site on its own subdomain with a noindex tag so it stays out of search, and added security headers and structured data with the business details. Read more about our technical SEO work.

Results

We do not have traffic figures to report for this project. What is live and working on taxiperth.com.au today:

• A custom theme with no page builder, live since 27 June 2026.
• Online booking with phone confirmation within 15 minutes.
• A fare estimator and fixed fares across Perth suburbs.
• Service pages for every main type of trip, from airport runs to FIFO pickups.
